File Extension Emp

The .emp file extension has known associations with four different products. The first product is a music file from the online music service eMusic.com and accounts for most .emp files. Music is purchased from this site and the .emp file downloaded to the user's computer via eMusic's download manager. The eMusic software then converts the .emp to an .mp3 which can be used in most music management applications and loaded onto .mp3 players. The .emp file is not usable as-is with programs like iTunes, Amarok, Winamp, and Banshee. It must be converted to .mp3 format.

Testimonials

Regtask was able to clean up my computer and speed up the performance! I highly recommend it

Jo H.

My computer was always popping up with registry errors and I couldnt get rid of them. Regtask did the job for me and took less then 5 minutes to speed up my computer.

Samantha J.

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my computer started to experience random freezes, I just used Regtask and now it works normally again.

David G.

My computer is 5 years old and runs extremely slow now. I was a bit sceptical about using Regtask, but just decided to give it a shot in the end and it worked out fantastically for me.

It is possible to bypass the .emp download and conversion by choosing to disable the eMusic download manager. This can be done from within a member's account settings on the eMusic.com web site. With the download manager disabled, the user will purchase the music which we be downloaded directly in .mp3 format. As with any downloadable media, errors may occur during the transmission of the data, rendering the file unusable. It's also possible for the .emp to be cut short if the download is interrupted, resulting in a partial .mp3 conversion. Never download .emp music files from any source other than the eMusic.com web site. Warez sites and other download locations are often infected with numerous viruses which can be disguised as, or attached to an .emp music file.

More Info Regarding File Extension Emp

The next product utilizing the .emp file extension is Pro/ENGINEER, a CAD/CAE/CAM 3D design tool owned by Parametric Technology Corporation. The .emp files created by this application contain data that represents the attributes of the individual components of a printed circuit board (PCB). The Pro/ENGINEER software uses these files in concert with its .emn files and other data to construct a 3-D model. Since the .emp file format used by Pro/ENGINEER is specific to that software, it cannot be opened or edited by any other application. The .emp file will also be useless within the Pro/ENGINEER software if the accompanying .emn file is missing or damaged. Both files need to be present and intact to render the 3-D model. Since the .emp is a data file rather than a working file, errors will be confined to corrupted data and should not affect the operation of the computer.

The third product associated with .emp files is Medlin Accounting's Payroll Software. This package is used by individual companies and payroll providers to manage payroll and payroll taxes. The .emp files generated by the Medlin software contain data specific to individual employee information and records. Exactly how this information is structured within the file in not known. These files are specific to the Payroll Software application and can only be opened accordingly.

The fourth association for .emp files is linked to EveMON, a Windows-only application allowing users to monitor their EVE Online characters. The software allows users to track a character's current attributes and skills, plan future progression, and set up training plans. It even allows users to track multiple characters among multiple accounts. EveMON's .emp (EveMON Plan) file is a data file which stores a single character's skill plans. Users of the software can share these files with other EveMON users for a variety of purposes. If the .emp file is used by another character, the EveMon software will automatically add or remove different skill sets depending on the parameters set up by the character's owner. Although EveMon's .emp cannot be accessed by external applications, users can save the data in .xml or .txt formats and then access it using a text editor. The appended file can be imported back into the EveMON software and saved as an .emp file.
